CLICKER TRAINING

My Click Treat Reward System

Spending time with your horse is always rewarding and by adding clicker training to your time together creates a whole new level of understanding each other and integrates play into ground work and riding exercises.  As a Dressage enthusiast I found clicker training to be very successful in helping me pinpoint specific moments of balance, movement or desired responses to specific aids that communicates instantly to my horses a "Yes that's it!".  This marker is not only a building block for further work but also helped me improve on my timing of my aids and listening skills!  I love this method of training and want to share with you...

2 DAY CLICKER CLINIC @ MOOSE RIDGE FARM

September 15 & 16 , 2018 / space limited to 6 horses and riders!

Bring your own horse or rent one of mine  / sign up by September 10

  • Join us as we start both mornings with DISCUSSIONS on topics such as horse behavior and learning about my Click, Treat Reward System.  Practice the clicker through games without the horses.  Talk about any issues that you may want to work on improving and how to implement the clicker as a fun new tool for your training belt.

  • We will then work with our horses on the GROUND teaching them to first target, specifically introducing the clicker and learning how to properly treat the horses; walking exercises and other games will follow.

  • Then we will break for LUNCH at the farm pond (please bring your own lunch).

  • After lunch we will work our horses UNDER SADDLE and learn how to use the clicker to encourage our horses to be softer in the bridle, teach them to flex for treats, to target things, work on transitions and Dressage movements.

  • Lessons will be tailored to the students needs and abilities.  Lessons will be small groups of 2 and privates.

  •

  • THE GOAL OF THE CLINIC will be to learn how to precisely use the clicker, when to use the clicker and to learn more about your horses behavior building confidence in horses and their riders.  You will leave the clinic with new information to take home and practice !

  •

  • THE CLINIC IS FOR riders new to clicker training and for those that have already used the clicker.  Please read more about clicker training and my experiences and training with the clicker in the BLOG section!

  • Look forward to spending 2 lovely days in the fall with you and connecting you and your horse making Dressage FUN one click at a time!!

  •

  •

  • Horses coming to the farm will need to be UTD on shots.  All riders will need to wear helmets while mounted.
